Shirley H. Wray, M.D., Ph.D., FRCP
Dr. Wray is an eminent Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School, Director of the Unit for Neurovisual Disorders and Consultant Neurologist in the Department of Neurology, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. Dr. Wray earned her M.D. from Sheffield University, a Ph.D. from the University of London, and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London, in 1977. Dr. Wray is also Board Certified in Neurology and Psychiatry and for over 30 years she has focused her research and clinical attention on Disorders of the Visual System including Optic Neuritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Migraine and Eye Movement Disorders. She attends annually on the C. Miller Fisher Stroke Service and the Intensive Critical Care Unit at the Massachusetts General Hospital and is the recipient of numerous honors, distinctions and teaching awards including a Lifetime Achievement Award, awarded by the residents in training in 2003. In the same year, she was appointed Scholar in the Academy at Harvard Medical School.
